How your donations are used

How Your Donation is Making a Difference

Dear Friends,

We are grateful for your support and want to keep you informed about how your generous donations are being used to support the children in our care. Below is a breakdown of how every dollar is spent:

  • 61% – Food and supplies for the children
  • 10% – School fees and supplies
  • 26% – Rent
  • 1% – Mentor needs
  • 2% – Miscellaneous operating costs

We believe transparency is key, and it is important to us that you know exactly where your money is going. Unfortunately, many organizations spend a significant portion of donations on administration and overhead costs. However, that is not the case here.

Our Commitment to Low Administration Costs

We want to assure you that none of our partners, or anyone involved in administrative work, is paid. All our efforts are focused on directly supporting the children. The only administrative costs we incur are related to the re-registration fees for our Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) status in Uganda.

Reducing Overhead Costs and Increasing Impact

A significant portion of our funds has traditionally been allocated to housing and utilities. We are working toward reducing these costs by establishing a permanent home for the orphanage. This will allow us to eliminate rent and utility expenses, and instead focus all resources on the children. Our goal is to become self-sustaining through projects such as:

  • Digging our own well to provide clean water.
  • Installing solar panels to supply electricity, further reducing utility costs.

These initiatives will allow us to maximize the impact of every donation. By eliminating these overhead costs, we will be able to allocate even more funds toward saving more children from poverty, disease, sex slavery, and death.

The Growing Need for Support

As you may be aware, war, disease, and poverty have devastated Uganda, leaving many children without care or basic necessities. The need for help is urgent. The cost of food has skyrocketed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are now spending over $400 per day to feed the children, up from $100 previously. This increase in food prices has been overwhelming, and we need your continued support more than ever.

A Call to Action

We ask for your continued prayers and donations so we can sustain our efforts and provide for the children. Every contribution helps us get closer to our goal of being fully self-sustaining, ensuring that every dollar goes directly toward saving children’s lives.

We are deeply grateful for your support and commitment. Together, we can continue to make a lasting impact and provide hope for the children in Uganda.

Thank you for being part of this life-changing mission.
