About us

DRONIAS HOPE FOR THE ORPHANS MINISTRIES

Dronias is a Christian-based nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, conflict, disease, and extreme poverty. Our mission is to provide hope, education, and empowerment to vulnerable children and families who have lost everything. Founded by Deus Nzaboona Kwehangana , we are a faith-driven initiative committed to the holistic development of the underprivileged.

Our Vision

At Dronias Ministry, we aim to unlock the full potential of every child. We envision a future where orphaned and vulnerable children are reintegrated into their communities as healthy, happy, responsible, and independent adults.

Our Mission

Our mission is to collaborate with local authorities and community members to offer a new beginning for orphans and other at-risk children. We provide access to education, health services, and create a safe, nurturing environment for children to thrive. Above all, we offer them the opportunity to grow up in a caring, family-oriented setting.

Our Objectives:

  1. Provide Essential Needs:
Offer food, housing, clothing, education, and medical assistance to orphans and street children, especially those whose parents have been affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS, or abandonment.

  2. Promote Education:
Ensure access to education for the less privileged, including orphans, street children, and those from vulnerable families. Provide scholarships, run schools, and ensure a safe learning environment.

  3. Vocational Training:
Develop vocational skills such as tailoring, hairdressing, carpentry, and computer skills to help youth and adults become self-sufficient.

  4. Build Educational Institutions:
Establish schools and vocational centers to serve the needs of orphaned and disadvantaged children. These institutions will also generate income for the sustainability of the ministry’s work.

  5. Establish Medical Facilities:
Set up healthcare services to provide medical treatment and care for the needy in the community, especially for orphans, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups.

  6. Promote HIV/AIDS Awareness:
Raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention and provide care for those affected by the disease.

  7. Provide Adoption Services:
Facilitate local and international adoptions for abandoned children, ensuring they find loving families.

  8. Foster Youth Empowerment:
Promote youth development through programs that teach self-sufficiency, vocational skills, and entrepreneurial training to reduce youth unemployment.

  9. Support Families and Communities:
Organize community groups and initiatives that help the poor improve their livelihoods. Promote agricultural and non-farm income-generating activities, including farming, poultry, and small-scale businesses.

  10. Support Women and Children’s Rights:
Advocate for the rights of women, children, and marginalized groups, ensuring that they receive equal opportunities and access to resources.

  11. Health & Hygiene Education:
Educate rural and urban communities on maintaining good health, including nutrition, sanitation, and the importance of immunization.

  12. Community Infrastructure Development:
Build and maintain schools, roads, and social centers that contribute to the community’s well-being and development.

  13. Promote Cultural Awareness & National Identity:
Strengthen national unity by encouraging patriotism, multicultural awareness, and inclusivity across Uganda.

  14. Offer Micro-financing and Poverty Eradication:
Launch micro-credit schemes to promote economic empowerment, particularly among disadvantaged families and communities.

  15. Build Counseling and Support Services:
Provide counseling for families, especially those dealing with trauma, loss, and challenges related to health and poverty.

  16. Establish Foster Homes:
Create safe, nurturing environments for vulnerable children through foster care programs, ensuring they grow up in loving families.

  17. Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection:
Manage community resources responsibly and promote sustainable environmental practices, especially in rural areas.

  18. Research & Advocacy:
Conduct research on social development issues and advocate for policies that benefit the marginalized, including children, women, and the elderly.
